Irish Horse Welfare Trust – IHWT

Charity

Practice PR has worked for over 10 years with Ireland’s equine welfare charity, the Irish Horse Welfare Trust (IHWT), based in Woodenbridge, Co. Wicklow.

IHWT rescues neglected horses from acrossIreland, rehabilitates them and finds new homes where they can get a second chance. The charity also runs an ex-racing horse retraining programme.

Practice PR has written and distributed press releases about the charity’s many projects and campaigns, including the high profile case of the horses of Dunsink and how the charity joined efforts with Fingal County Council to find an educational solution to the problem of neglected horses in the area.

In these 10 years, the charity has grown in the number of members and fans, as well as public awareness. As a result, many horses have been rescued and rehomed.
