Happy New Year!

If you are looking for a 2012 calendar, we have a couple of suggestions, all of them supporting good causes!

-Saint Aidan’s Services

Saint Aidan’s Services is a voluntary body founded in 1968. They are based in Gorey, County Wexford, and they provide services and training to people with a wide range of disabilities, children with special needs and for the older person in the County Wexford area, including residential care, day services and training.

Saint Aidan’s 2012 calendar features artwork by some of the centre’s clients.

-Traveller Horse Project with the Irish Horse Welfare Trust

Irish horse charity Irish Horse Welfare Trust is currently working with a group of Traveller men from Laois to develop a horse project.

The group has launched a calendar during Traveller Pride Week in December to raise funds for the project. It is an archive depicting generations of Traveller families and their horses.

-Wexford Camogie fashion calendar

The double All Ireland Camogie champions, Wexford, launched a glamorous fashion style calendar to raise funds for their clubs and also for a nominated charity. Not a hurley in sight, the athletes looked amazing and were photographed by top fashion photographer Dermot Byrne.

The calendars can be bought online at Tom Doyle Supplies, the main sponsors. Here’s a video of the ‘making of’ we filmed
