MouthWatchers calling for entries
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jC19Cffl-g]It might sound like a strange topic for a You Tube clip but Mouth Watchers is looking for ‘quirky, different’ videos of up to one minute to help the company promote its antibacterial toothbrushes inIreland. Yes, toothbrushes.
Dubliner John McKiernan has brought the innovative toothbrushes to Ireland after a trip to Boston last year and is hoping to distribute them also to the rest of Europe.
“It might sound like a strange topic and people might wonder what’s so special about a toothbrush,” says John. “Bacteria and germs growing on unhygienic toothbrushes can cause infections and other serious health problems. MouthWatchers is not just a toothbrush, because bacteria and germs don’t grow on silver, MouthWatchers eliminates 99% of bacteria.”
He adds “It is a fantastic product, very cutting edge. But we are a small company so we are looking for someone creative, with something clever to help us spread the word about MouthWatchers.”
MouthWatchers’ video competition will run until mid-April, a winning video and two runner-ups will be announced by a panel at the end of April. The winning video will receive €1,000 and the two runner ups will receive €500.
“It is not a popularity contest, we are not asking people to get all their families to vote for them or anything, we are just calling for entries and a panel will select what they believe is the best video to promote MouthWatchers,” clarifies John. In the past few weeks, MouthWatchers has also been running an online campaign #BrushAndTell to get people across Ireland to try MouthWatchers for free in exchange for a Twitter or Facebook comment on their experience.
Submissions must be uploaded to You Tube or Vimeo and links emailed to MouthWatchers at info@merchamp.com with the heading: #brushandtell video competition.
Mouthwatchers will publish all the entries on its website www.mouthwatchers.ie and Facebook page
Dates:
Closing date for entries is Sunday 15st April 2012 (17:00pm Irish time)
