Irish horse charity Irish Horse Welfare Trust (IHWT) is hosting its annual golf classic at Rathsallagh Golf club in Kildare on Friday 1st June to raise funds for its work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming neglected horses, as well as the charity’s education projects.
The Golf Classic will start at 14.00 sharp, registration costs €700 per team – for teams of four players (men and/or women) – and the price includes golf, prizes, spit roast pig, barbeque and refreshments.
Individuals are also welcome, as teams will be made up on the day. Non golfers are also encouraged to attend and enjoy the BBQ (€30 per person).

The Irish Horse Welfare Trust, Charity No. CHY14634, was established in 1999 and gained charitable status in 2002. IHWT is involved in the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of horses and ponies, as well as campaigning and promoting Equine Welfare Awareness and Education.
The IHWT farm in Woodenbridge, Co. Wicklow, is open to visitors on Saturday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm and also by appointment.
