Fusion of art and technology – Apps imitate Art
RocTel International is enhancing the visitors experience to the Dublin Contemporary exhibition with the installation of the next generation wireless ‘N’ technology in the Earlsfort Terrace location. The Dublin Contemporary 2011 Exhibition is an international art exhibition featuring 114 Irish and international artists. It is expected to attract 150,000 visitors, of which some 62,500 are expected from abroad, and to bring €31 million into the Irish economy over its six week duration.
This technology is designed to deliver up a WiFi with nine times the performance of existing 802.11a/g networks performance, giving visitors an enhanced experience through this tangible fusion of technology and art. Core to this WiFi is the ability for visitors to download the new interactive Dublin Contemporary App, which is free to download and available on both Android and iPhone. This definitive guide gives detailed insights by providing full details the 114 artists exhibiting, the venues and locations, along with an interactive artist guide to use while browsing the exhibition. Users can plan their visits with the venue tab, which provides information on opening times, as well as an online map.
The Dublin Contemporary 2011 app will also keep guests posted on upcoming news and events during the exhibition including detailed event listings, which will be updated weekly and can be book marked and shared with friends and family. Users can stay in touch with all the latest exhibition updates through dedicated channels for News, Blogs and Events and watch exclusive Dublin Contemporary 2011 TV footage
