Top reasons we ‘unlike’ brands

reasons we unlike brandsMany marketing gurus might recommend keeping an up to date Facebook profile and posting frequently is best practice to engage with your potential clients and fans. But posting too much could easily backfire – especially if the content posted is pure self-promotion and of no real use to fans and followers.

According to ‘The Social Break-Up’, a report by social media and email marketing company ExactTarget, consumers (yes, including you!) stop following or unlike brands because their posts are too frequent (44% on Facebook, 39% on Twitter), irrelevant (purely marketing plugs) or just repetitive and boring (38% on Facebook, 52% on Twitter).
