Two of the pictures featuring in the Wexford Camogie Team calendar, The Model County, have won two silver medals for Bray fashion photographer Dermot Byrne at the November 2011 Judging of the National Photographic Awards.
The two silver medalists were the cover picture, in the Press and PR section, and April’s photograph featuring Eimear O’Connor from Rathnure, in the Fashion section.
The images are part of Byrne’s portfolio and, after winning silver medals for November, are now in the final heat of the judging for the annual Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) Awards. The annual awards select the best pictures of the year taken by Irish top professional photographers in various categories.
Dermot Byrne is the current IPPA fashion photographer of the year.
The Wexford camogie calendar costs €10 and is available to buy online at www.tomdoylesupplies.com. Proceeds go to Wexford GAA Players welfare funds.
