Elizabeth & Claire, a new luxury women’s fashion design label has been launched in Dublin. The new Irish label has also unveiled its first collection, Spring/Summer 2010, focusing on elegance and simplicity.
“The label has been created with a strong, single focus in mind. The Elizabeth & Claire label is for women who appreciate the true elements of fashion, colour, fabric, proportion and silhouette,” explains Elizabeth Moore, co-founder of Elizabeth & Claire. “The collection, consisting of fifteen signature pieces, harks back to a simpler time, where taste and quality was obvious in the cut of clothes.”
Elizabeth Moore and Claire Doyle have both worked with some of the most respected names in the fashion industry and met while working with leading fashion designer, Louise Kennedy. Their united vision for contemporary designs and an inherent understanding of what women require and desire, brought them together to launch their own label Elizabeth & Claire.
The label’s first collection is strictly tailored and presents an assertive and thoroughly modern silhouette, inspired by luxury and literature. The Spring/Summer collection delivers forever pieces. Sleek minimalism, with a 1940s influence, marks these urban chic pieces: knee-length dresses and tailored skirts are paired with sharp shouldered jackets and structured day coats.
Colours are soft and muted, with silhouettes in sumptuous berry, demure petrol and sharp black with flashes of hot pink. It is uncomplicated with an emphasis on elegant architectural clothes with effortless polish.
“These simple and beautiful garments allow women to enjoy a confidence in their appearance whether at work or social occasions, assured that their clothes blend in and yet still create a distinctive look,” she adds.
“Power and elegance, with a hidden sensual side, is the best way to describe our brand new collection .Each piece is designed to move with ease from day to evening with ease.”
